AFRICAN UNION ADVISORY BOARD ON CORRUPTION Presents Anti-Corruption Youth Essay Competition: “How to make corruption unattractive in Africa”. Are you an African youth concerned about corruption on the continent? Have you or anyone close to you been a victim of corruption? Do you believe your future is in any way threatened by corrupt practices? Would you want your voice to be heard on the issue of corruption? And do you have a passion for writing?
Then you should seriously consider participating in this year’s ‘Anti-Corruption Youth Essay Competition,’ organized by the African Union Advisory Board on Corruption (AUABC). This is within the framework of festivities to mark the tenth anniversary of the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption (AUCPCC) which include the annual International Anti-corruption week, which is a major item in the Regional Anticorruption Programme for Africa, developed by the UNECA, in collaboration with the AUABC.

Call for Applications: She Entrepreneurs Programme
She Entrepreneurs is a leadership programme for young emerging women social entrepreneurs in the Middle East, North Africa and Sweden. The programme aims to give the participants innovative tools for sustainable change while seeking to create an active network of women change-makers.
She Entrepreneurs runs for one year, with participants meeting for ten days in Sweden and one week in the MENA region. In between the modules, the participants work on their own projects locally, coached by group mentors over digital platforms.
Participants are social entrepreneurs from Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank-Gaza, Yemen and Sweden who address social challenges and strive for positive social change through projects based on entrepreneurial principles. During the programme participants are provided with inspiration, knowledge and tools to develop a project for sustainable change that they have already started working on in their country or region. Through the programme, participants are also offered the opportunity to meet leading social and business entrepreneurs as well as become a part of an active network of women social entrepreneurs that supports personal and professional development.

Vital Voices is seeking applications for the VVLead Fellowship Program from women leaders who are committed to tackling issues related to economic disparities, violence against women and harmful cultural practices — with particular focus on forced/early marriage — in order to create a more prosperous and secure world. Knowing that this work will take many forms, leaders may be engaged in this change through work in a variety of fields including business, non-profit/non-governmental organization, public office/government (elected or appointed), advocacy initiative or community-based organization.

EVENT: 3rd Annual African Alliance for Peace Summit
The African Alliance for Peace (AAP) is one of the largest peace initiatives on the continent. Growing out of the Global Alliance for Ministries and Infrastructures of Peace (GAMIP), it includes members from Rwanda, Senegal, Uganda, and South Africa, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Cameroon, and continues to grow.
Its vision is to support the creation of a culture of peace and nonviolence in all African countries, including calling for structures in government and civil society to support a culture of peace. The third AAP Summit is for all peacebuilders in Africa and friends of peace globally. During the Summit we hope to enhance our understanding of peace education, develop new skills and approaches to educating our communities for peace and develop meaningful networks for peace in Africa.
