“The Arrupe Centre for Research and Training wishes to invite you to participate in #colbatblue Cobalt Blues, a webinar that #canadianjesuitsinternational Canadian Jesuits International (CJI) organizes jointly with Arthur V. Mauro Institute for Peace and Justice, St. Paul’s College, Winnipeg, Canada. The webinar will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 11:00AM EST or 4:00PM CET. Cobalt Blues will be a conversation on the policy of resource extraction and education in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The presenter and panelists are Evelyn Namakula Mayanja, Assistant Professor at Carleton University Ottawa, and our very own Father All Saints SJ (PhD), Director General of the Arrupe Centre for Research and Training in Lubumbashi, DRC. Yolanda Gonzáles, #radioprogresó d’ERIC-Radio Progreso, a partner of the CJI in Honduras, will give a brief response highlighting a Latin American perspective on mining and its intersection with women’s rights.”
