CIHA’s partner organization, the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR), celebrates its 20th anniversary in the midst of a global pandemic. Its latest newsletter takes a look at the impact of the national lockdown in South Africa to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on IJR’s work as well as South Africa more broadly, including the celebration of Freedom Day in April. As the country eases restrictions, we are reminded of the disproportionate burden of losses on the most vulnerable segments of society.
