The CIHA Blog: Critical Investigations into Humanitarianism in Africa is looking for a new logo! Please consider submitting your logo to our design contest.
DETAILS:
The logo may be used by the CIHA Blog online or in print. Flexibility is a key requirement, including the need to resize easily and to look good in black and white as well as in color. Color options are open. The words “CIHA Blog” and “Blog ICHA” (the French translation) should be featured somewhere on the logo. The final version of the logo will need to be suitable for high-quality printing.
Entrants should take care to ensure that their entries are not in any way similar to existing logos or other copyrighted images. Please study the website to ensure that your submission is in concurrence with the aims and mission of the blog. Clean-cut images that evoke the multiple religious/linguistic/cultural richness of the continent are especially welcome.
Entries will consist of 4 files in JPEG format: the small color logo that only uses “CIHA Blog/Blog ICHA”, the full-color banner that incorporates our full name in English and French (“Critical Investigations into Humanitarianism in Africa” and “Investigations Critiques sur l’Humanitaire en Afrique”), a smaller color icon-type logo (this is currently the Africa-centric Eastern Hemisphere globe featured on our website), and a color background (possibly watermark) image.
The CIHA Blog’s editorial team will select a winner. The winner will receive:
(1) a $300 prize,
(2) the attribution of the logo to the designer on the Blog’s website, and
(3) permission to use the logo in the designer’s portfolio.
The Blog’s editorial team may request that the winner make minor changes to the logo in order to accommodate certain design preferences or website specifications. The winner will be required to sign a contract assigning all ownership of the logo (including master files) to the CIHA Blog.
The CIHA Blog reserves the right to not select a winner if no suitable entries are received.
