Call for Applications: 2019 Obama Foundation Fellowship (Deadline September 18):
The two-year, non-residential Obama Fellowship offers hands-on training, resources, and leadership development to help Fellows scale the impact of their work. Fellows participate in four multi-day gatherings where they collaborate with each other, connect with potential partners, and collectively push their work forward. Throughout the program, each Fellow pursues a personalized plan to leverage the Fellowship experience to take their work to the next level. The Obama Foundation is keen to support fellows who are a diverse set of leaders that bring a community-centered approach to science, criminal justice, healthcare, education, the arts, and more. Call for Applications: Ideas Matter Doctoral Fellowship (Deadline October 10):
The Ideas Matter Doctoral Fellowship is open to doctoral students under age 35 who are based in West African institutions of higher education, for research on the continent. Priority will be given to research projects focusing on women, technology and entrepreneurship. The fellowship will award three doctoral research grants of $4,000 each. Call for Applications: “Grasp Transnationality in Contemporary Arab Worlds: Objects, Methods, Fields” / Journées d’études « Saisir le transnational dans les mondes arabes contemporains : Objets, méthodes, terrains » (Deadline Sept 15)
Study days are open to all young researchers (PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and young researchers) who use the transnational dimension as a constituent element of their research, both theoretically and methodologically. Applications from young researchers from the Maghreb and Middle East countries are strongly encouraged and can be supported by transport and accommodation costs. Tenue des journées d’études « Saisir le transnational dans les mondes arabes contemporains : Objets, méthodes, terrains » les 3 et 4 décembre 2018, à l’IRMC à Tunis, organisées par l’IFPO, l’IRMC, l’IRISSO, le CJB et l’IRIS. Ces journées d’études s’adressent à tous.tes les jeunes chercheur.e.s (doctorant.e.s, post-doctorant es et jeunes chercheur.e.s) mobilisant la dimension transnationale comme élément constitutif de leurs recherches, sur le plan théorique et méthodologique. Les candidatures des jeunes chercheur.e.s issu.e.s des pays du Maghreb et du Moyen-Orient sont vivement encouragées, et pourront bénéficier d’une prise en charge des frais de transport et d’hébergement.
