Update from Our Partner: Ujamaa Centre at the University of KwaZulu-Natal

Our partner, the Ujamaa Center at the University of KwaZulu-Natal recently produced their 2017 Program Flyer highlighting programmatic goals and strategy. The Ujamaa Centre at the University of KwaZulu-Natal represents biblical and theological scholars, organic intellectuals, and local communities of the poor, working-class, and marginalised. The Centre utilises biblical and theological resources to promote individual and communities’ social transformation.
The CIHA Blog continues to partner with Ujamaa around programmes targeting communities of agency. Last year, the two organisations jointly hosted a successful conference entitled “Religion, Governance and Humanitarianism in Africa,” which attracted local and international scholars as well as humanitarian actors to grapple with pressing contextual challenges on the continent.
